Vasily Ivanovich Sizintsev was a Soviet hero born on February 8, 1921, in Smolenskoe, Altai Krai. He served in the Pacific Fleet from 1940 to 1947 and participated in the war with Japan. Later, he worked as an anodist at the Stalin Aluminum Plant and was a deputy in the Kemerovo Regional Council from 1957 to 1959. On June 9, 1961, he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor for his accomplishments in the metallurgy industry. He retired in 1981 and passed away on May 15, 1993, in Narofominsk.
