He was elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR/National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in 1990. Born in Mykolaiv, he made significant advancements in mechanics during his career and was recognized for his scientific achievements before his passing in Lviv.
