Alexander Vasilievich Korshunov is a Russian scientist specializing in the improvement of potato cultivation technology. He was born on August 1, 1938, in the Kadoshkin district of the Mordovian ASSR. After graduating from Penza Agricultural Institute in 1962, he held various positions at the All-Russian Research Institute of Potato Farming, culminating in his directorship from 1996 to 2004. He has authored over 200 scientific works and is a member of both the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Russian Academy of Sciences.
