Alexander Yakovlevich Mikas (born October 3, 1953, in Simonovichi, Bobruisk region) is a ceramic artist and professor, one of the founders of the Krasnoyarsk School of Artistic Ceramics, and established the department of 'Artistic Ceramics' at the Krasnoyarsk State Art Institute (KGHI), where he led from 1980 to 2008. He is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, an honored educator in the Krasnoyarsk region, and part of various academic and cultural organizations. He has participated in numerous exhibitions and festivals worldwide.
