Aram Avanesovich Shirinyan was an Armenian Soviet architect born on December 25, 1906, in Baku, Russian Empire, and died on May 16, 1988, in Yerevan, Armenian SSR, USSR. He served as the chief architect of Nagorno-Karabakh and led the Construction and Architecture Department of the Nagorno-Karabakh Oblast Executive Committee from 1944 to 1974. A member of the Soviet Union of Architects since 1934, he participated in the 5th Congress of Architects of the USSR in 1970, and was recognized as a labor veteran in 1975.
