Vladimir Salimovich Sharipov (born March 8, 1952, in Stalinhabad, Tajik SSR, USSR) is a Colonel in the Soviet Armed Forces. He participated in the storming of Amin's palace as the commander of the 3rd Company of the 154th Separate Special Purpose Unit (Muslim Battalion) of the Soviet GRU.
