Yuriy Fyodorovich Korovin, born on March 19, 1932, in Kyshtym, Chelyabinsk Oblast, RSFSR, USSR, is a Soviet and Ukrainian scientist. He served as the Director of the Dneprovsky Chemical Plant and was recognized as a Distinguished Rationalizer of the Ukrainian SSR in 1982. Korovin earned his Doctor of Technical Sciences in 1990 and became a professor in 2002. He is a laureate of the State Prize of the USSR (1978) and of Ukraine in science and technology (1994), as well as in the Ukrainian SSR in science and technology (1981).
