Vladimir Viktorovich Skiba is a Soviet and Ukrainian scientist born on November 28, 1952, in Rivne. He earned a Doctor of Medical Sciences degree in 1990 and became a professor in 1997. He was awarded the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR in the field of science and technology in 1986 and was honored as an Honored Scientist and Technician of Ukraine in 2003. Additionally, he received the Lenin Komsomol Prize of Ukraine named after N. Ostrovsky and is a full member of the National Academy of Higher Education of Ukraine.
