Vardges Abgarovich Avetisyan (October 18, 1918 – October 12, 2007) was an Armenian geologist and professor recognized for his contributions to the field. He was born in Alexandrapol, Armenia, and served during the Great Patriotic War, receiving the Order of the Patriotic War I class in 1954. His dedication to geology earned him the title of Honored Geologist of the Armenian SSR, and he became a professor in 2000. His expertise and academic contributions have made a lasting impact in geological studies in Armenia.
