Yehoshua (Josh) Pelman (February 14, 1914–1994) was an expert in Arab affairs who served in various positions including head of the Arab department of the Jewish Agency and an advisor on minority affairs to Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion. Born in Tel Aviv, he was involved in intelligence operations during the British mandate and played a key role in fostering cooperation between Druse communities and the IDF during Israel's War of Independence. He participated in negotiations with Syria for a ceasefire and published articles on the conflict.
