Majed Ali Faraj (1962-) is a Palestinian politician and security official who has served as the head of the Palestinian General Intelligence Service in the West Bank since September 15, 2009. Born in the Dheisheh refugee camp south of Bethlehem, he comes from the village of Ras Abu Ammar, which was occupied in 1948. He studied at UNRWA schools and holds a bachelor's degree in administration. His father was killed by Israeli forces in 2002, and he has experienced family losses due to conflicts, with multiple siblings having been imprisoned.
