He was the founder of the correspondent point of All-Union Radio in besieged Leningrad and was a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Journalists. He served on the board of the Saint Petersburg Union of Journalists and headed the correspondent point of Central Television and All-Union Radio in Leningrad.
