Sergey Demyanovich Pogorely (born December 7, 1948, in Gorlivka, Ukraine) is a cybernetics scientist, expert in information technology, Doctor of Technical Sciences, and professor. He has authored over 280 scientific works and has received notable awards, including the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology in 2018 and the USSR Council of Ministers Prize in 1984. Currently, he is the head of the Computer Engineering Department at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
