Georgiy Antonovich Rohoshchiy (May 6, 1913 – January 19, 1970) was a Soviet scientist and rector of Lviv State Institute of Physical Culture from 1959 to 1967. He was a candidate of pedagogical sciences and associate professor since 1965. During World War II, he participated in the German-Soviet War and received several awards, including the Order of the Red Star and medals. He contributed to expanding the institute's infrastructure, including the construction of sports facilities and hostels. He passed away in 1970 and was buried at Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv.
