Kronid, known as Mychajło Miszczenko, was a Ukrainian Orthodox bishop born on August 25, 1940, in Kuczinowka. He began his theological studies in 1967 in Moscow and became a monk by taking perpetual vows on May 10, 1970. He was ordained as a deacon on June 28, 1970, and as a priest on February 12, 1971. He served at the Trotsky-Sergiev Lavra until 1992. He was appointed bishop of Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih on September 16, 1992, and was consecrated on September 19, 1992. He passed away on September 7, 1993, and was buried in Dnipro.
