Born in Qiangjiayan Village, Guangshan County, he played a significant role in the founding of the People's Liberation Army and received several prestigious awards, including the First Class Bayi Medal and the First Class Medal of Independence and Freedom. He was honored with the First Class Red Star Meritorious Honor Medal in 1988, marking his contributions to the military.
