Chen Meizao (February 1914 – January 9, 1989) was a Chinese military leader born in Huang'an, Hubei. He served as a general in the People's Liberation Army (PLA) and was named a major general during the military ranks establishment in 1955. He held the position of head of the Cadre Department of the Jinan Military Region. Chen contributed significantly to the early years of the PLA and played an important role in the establishment of the Chinese military leadership.
