Dmitry Alexandrovich Arzamastsev was a Russian scientist born on October 8, 1916, in Kushvinsky Zavod, Perm Krai, who passed away on June 30, 1993, in Sverdlovsk. He was the founder of the Ural scientific school of power engineers and earned the title of Doctor of Technical Sciences in 1971, becoming a professor in 1972. In 1981, he was honored as a Distinguished Scientist and Engineer of the RSFSR. Arzamastsev graduated from the Ural Industrial Institute with a degree in electrical engineering in 1940.
