Pyotr Kirillovich Pozdeev (April 10, 1931 – June 7, 2007) was a Udmurt writer, prose writer, poet, folklorist, translator, literary scholar, and journalist. He was born in the village of Gereyevo, Igrinsky District, in the Votsk Autonomous Region, RSFSR, USSR, and died in Izhevsk, Udmurt Republic, Russia. Pozdeev became a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR in 1980 and was awarded the State Prize of the UASSR. He was recognized as an honored cultural worker of the RSFSR in 1990.
