Salih Demîcer Çîroknivîs is a Kurdish writer, journalist, and translator born on March 8, 1972, in the village of Şêranê near Kobani. He completed his primary and secondary education in Kobani. In 1991, he moved to Lebanon to study Political Science at a university. From 2007 to 2012, he worked as a presenter on the 'Down Town' program for Kurdistan TV. Since 2012, he has resided in the United States and works in journalism with Radio Voice of America, while also being a prolific writer of poems and short stories.
