Qamar Suroor is an Indian poet and doctor with degrees in B.U.M.S, D.N.M, and J.C.P.R. She was selected as a judge for children's literature by the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language in 2017. Suroor is also the editor of the weekly Urdu publication Makhdum from Ahmednagar and serves as the president of Baziam-e-Khawateen. Her poetry collection titled 'Sitara Ban Ja' has been published.
