Qasim al-Araji is an Iraqi politician born in 1964 who served as the Minister of Interior during Haider al-Abadi's government. He is a prominent member of the Badr Organization and held various positions in local government after the fall of Saddam Hussein, representing the people of Wasit Province. Since July 2020, al-Araji has been serving as the Iraqi National Security Advisor in Mustafa al-Kadhimi's government.
