Qasim Ibrahim, also known as Boruma Qasim, is a Maldivian businessman, philanthropist, and politician. He founded Villa Shipping and Trading Company in 1986, which is the largest company in the Maldives. As the company's president and largest shareholder, he is one of the wealthiest individuals in the country. Ibrahim is also known for his charitable work through the Villa Foundation, helping Maldivians with education and healthcare by providing medical assistance and scholarships. He was the presidential candidate for the Republican Party in the 2013 elections but lost in the first round.
