Qazi Touqeer is an Indian singer known for winning the reality show Fame Gurukul in 2005 alongside Ruprekha Banerjee. He sings in multiple languages including Kashmiri, Hindi, and Urdu. His victory led to significant interest from Kashmiri youth in music auditions, particularly Indian Idol. He was notably recognized by the President of India as the hero of Kashmir. Later in 2005, he released an album with Ruprekha Banerjee. Despite his success, he had no formal training in music prior to Fame Gurukul and faced an injury while rehearsing for his acting debut.
