Benson, creating notable advertising campaigns for brands like Guinness and Johnnie Walker. During WWII, he served in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve, receiving an OBE for his actions with the French Navy. Bevan was active in public service throughout the 1950s and 1960s, mentoring advertising great David Ogilvy and promoting his family's artistic legacy. He passed away on 20 December 1974.
