Richard Horace Sikes was an American professional golfer born on March 6, 1940, in Paris, Arkansas. He excelled in amateur golf, winning the U.S. Amateur Public Links twice and the NCAA Championship in 1963. Sikes played on the PGA Tour in the 1960s and 1970s, winning the Sahara Invitational in his rookie season and receiving Golf Digest's Rookie of the Year Award. He had a brief stint on the Senior PGA Tour and was inducted into the Arkansas Golf Hall of Fame in 2002. He passed away on November 2, 2023.
