R. Krishnasamy Naidu was an influential Indian politician born on January 5, 1902. He served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly in Madras State and was elected from the Srivilliputhur constituency in 1957, followed by the Rajapalayam constituency in 1962 as a candidate of the Indian National Congress. A dedicated social worker and agriculturist, he was also passionate about composing Tamil poetry, reading, and enjoying Carnatic music. Naidu joined the Indian National Congress in 1922 and was imprisoned for a year in 1930 during the Civil Disobedience Movement.
