She served as a member of the Victorian Legislative Council from 2014 to 2018, representing the Western Metropolitan Region. Throughout her political career, she was affiliated with the Democratic Labour Party and the Australian Conservatives before becoming an independent. In 2018, she chose not to run for her Legislative Council seat again, opting instead to contest the Legislative Assembly seat of Werribee, although she was unsuccessful in that endeavour.
