Rachel Lewis Hopkins is a British politician born on March 30, 1972. She has been serving as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Luton South since 2019. A member of the Labour Party, she held the position of Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office from 2021 to 2023. Prior to her parliamentary career, Hopkins was a member of the Luton Borough Council from 2011 to 2021, where she was responsible for public health. In November 2023, she resigned from the frontbench to vote for a ceasefire in Gaza and was elected Vice Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Humanitarian Group in 2022.
