Rachel Genevieve Nolan, born in 1974, is a former Australian politician who served as the state member for Ipswich from 2001 to 2012, making her Queensland's youngest female MP. Educated at Ipswich Girls' Grammar School, she worked as a political adviser before her parliamentary career. Appointed by Anna Bligh, she served as Parliamentary Secretary and later as Minister for Transport, Finance, and Resources. Nolan was defeated by Ian Berry in the 2012 state election. Her contributions were recognized when she received the Young Alumnus of the Year award from the University of Queensland in 2006.
