Rachel Tevet-Wiesel is an Israeli Brigadier General in the Israel Defense Forces reserves and the first female ombudsman for soldiers. She was born on August 16, 1963, and holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in law from Bar-Ilan University, and graduated from the Wexner Foundation's senior executive program. In her last posted role, she served as the Chief of Staff's advisor on gender issues. After her military service, she became the CEO of the National Council for the War on Drugs, and since February 2021, she has been the ombudsman for soldiers.
