Rachid Madrane is a Belgian politician and journalist of Moroccan descent, born on April 15, 1968. He is currently serving as the Speaker of the Parliament of the Brussels-Capital Region. Madrane was a member of the regional parliament from 2004 to 2009 and later served in the federal Chamber of Representatives from 2010 to 2012. After the 2019 elections, he became the president of the Brussels regional parliament. He holds a degree in journalism and communication from the Free University of Brussels.
