Radu Jörgensen, born Radu Ovidiu Georgescu on September 12, 1962, in Iași, is a Romanian writer, translator, journalist, and mathematician. He is best known for his novel 'Clovnul din lemn de gutui,' for which he received the Nemira Prize for prose in 1997. Since 2003, he has been living in the United States, where he works as a university lecturer in mathematics.
