Raghubar Das is an Indian politician born on May 3, 1955, currently serving as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. He took the oath of office on December 28, 2014, becoming the sixth Chief Minister of the state. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he has served as a member of the Legislative Assembly from Jamshedpur East since 1995, holding the office five times. He has also held the positions of Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Urban Development during the BJP-led government in the state. Additionally, he was imprisoned during the Emergency period in India.
