Born on June 8, 1934, in Stora Skedvi, he served in the Swedish Air Force and participated in a UN mission in Congo. Over his career from 1972 to 1996, he competed in seven consecutive Olympics, earning four medals in the 50m free pistol event. After retiring, he became a gun designer, authored a publication on pistol shooting, and is active in gun ownership rights advocacy.
