Rahim Gaziyev, born on February 17, 1943, in Nucha, is a prominent Azerbaijani politician. He served as the Minister of Defence of Azerbaijan from 1992 to 1993. Gaziyev was also a deputy in the Supreme Soviet of the Azerbaijan SSR from 1990 to 1993. He is known for being an active participant in the Azerbaijani National Liberation Movement, which began in 1988, advocating for the rights and independence of Azerbaijan.
