Rainer Bonhorst is a German journalist and author born on November 8, 1942, in Nuremberg. He initially worked for the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung (WAZ) and served as a correspondent in London and Washington for various German and Austrian newspapers. He eventually became the deputy editor-in-chief at WAZ and was the editor-in-chief of Augsburger Allgemeine from 1994 until his retirement in 2009. He has since worked as a freelance journalist and TV host and is a regular contributor for Achse des Guten.
