Rainer Haedrich was a German politician of the CDU and the district administrator of Uecker-Randow. Born on February 26, 1943, in Demmin, he was the initiator of the Euroregion Pomerania. During his tenure as district administrator from 1994 to 1997, he served as the president of the Municipal Association Europaregion POMERANIA e.V. Sadly, he took his own life on July 12, 1998.
