Rainer Nabielek (July 11, 1944 - October 8, 2021) was a German medical historian, sexologist, and orientalist. He graduated in 1962 and served as a diplomat in Libya and Syria. In 1970, he became a research assistant at the Institute for the History of Medicine at Humboldt University, Berlin. He obtained his doctorate in 1977 with a work on pseudo-Galenic texts. Nabielek later became involved with the history of sexuality, notably within Islamic contexts, and was an associate lecturer at the Charité's Institute of the History of Medicine.
