Rainer Trampert is a German former politician born on May 5, 1946, in Heuwisch. He was a co-founder of the Green Party in West Germany and served as the national spokesperson from 1982 to 1987, representing the party's left wing. Alongside Thomas Ebermann, he was a key thinker among the eco-socialists in the party. In 1990, he left the Greens in protest against their increasing alignment with established political parties. Currently, Trampert is primarily engaged in publishing and writing.
