Ralph Ditlef Kolnes was a Norwegian priest and author, born on June 20, 1937, in Hunan, China. He was the son of missionary priest Racin Kolnes. He studied theology and graduated from Menighetsfakultetet in 1969. After his internship in 1970, he served as a hospital priest at Lovisenberg Hospital in Oslo and later became a lecturer at Diakonhjemmets høgskole. Kolnes also held the position of parish priest at Uranienborg Church in Oslo. He passed away on September 19, 2020.
