Ralph Carroll Jones was an American football player born on February 14, 1922, in Florence, Alabama. He attended Coffee High School and played college football at Union (TN) and Alabama. Jones played professionally in the NFL as an end and defensive end for the Detroit Lions in 1946 and the Baltimore Colts in 1947, participating in 17 games with one start. In addition to football, he also pursued a career in professional basketball.
