Ralph Trapnell Snelgrove (1914-1990) was a prominent Canadian radio and television pioneer. He was instrumental in establishing CKBB radio station in Barrie and CKVR-TV, one of Canada's earliest television stations. He was an influential figure in broadcasting associations and served as an alderman and school trustee in Barrie. Snelgrove founded Collingwood's first radio station and was recognized with an honorary Doctor of Laws degree and a posthumous induction into the Broadcast Hall of Fame for his contributions to the media landscape in Canada.
