Ramadan Güney (1932-2006) was a British-Turkish Cypriot businessman and politician. He owned Brookwood Cemetery, aiming to establish a Turkish cemetery in the UK. Güney founded the UK Turkish Islamic Trust and established the first Turkish mosque in London, Shacklewell Lane Mosque, in 1977. He was a founding member of the VOLKAN organization in Cyprus during the 1950s against EOKA. Later in life, Güney became a Member of Parliament and presidential candidate in Northern Cyprus.
