Badiga Ramakrishna is a former member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India, having served from the Machilipatnam constituency in Andhra Pradesh. He represented the Indian National Congress party. In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, he faced a defeat against TDP's BC candidate Konakalla Narayana Rao by a narrow margin of 12,000 votes. This election was particularly competitive, with candidates from PRP, Loksatta, and BJP also contesting and collectively securing more than 200,000 votes from the Kapu community.
