Garza founded the newspaper Reporte Índigo in 2006 and has held prominent positions including vice president of Televisa and president of Editorial Televisa from 2000 to 2001. He also served as the editorial director for major newspapers such as Reforma from 1993 to 2000 and El Universal in 2002.
