Known by the nicknames Caracremada, Passos llargs, and Capità Raymond, he was actively involved in the French resistance during World War II. As the last Catalan maquis, he fought against Francisco Franco's regime, showcasing remarkable bravery, audacity, and geographical knowledge that allowed him to survive for an extended period in resistance and sabotage activities against the dictatorship.
