She studied drama and theater arts at Queen Margaret University College in Edinburgh, Scotland, and medieval history in Reykjavik, Iceland. Førsund is the responsible producer and has written the script for a historical film, 'Hemnen,' about King Magnus Barefoot, a project she has been working on since 1999. In 2012, she published a book about the king, Magnus Barefoot.
