Raouf Salama Moussa (1929 - 2006) was a prominent Egyptian veterinarian, bacteriologist, and publisher, notable as the first and eldest son of Salama Moussa, a well-known journalist and social reformer. He studied veterinary medicine at Cairo University and earned a PhD in bacteriology from the University of Leeds, England. He worked in Alexandria University and later as a salmonella expert in Switzerland. In 1978, he founded the Future Publishing House, which became one of the most recognized publishing institutions in the Arab world, publishing works by his father, as well as important cultural literature.
