He served as a Distinguished Professor at the University of Florida and was an Elected Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Born on February 22, 1944, in Tel-Aviv, Israel, he achieved his B.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering in 1965 and completed his M.Sc. in 1968 at the Technion. He later received his Ph.D. in 1971 from the University of California, San Diego.
